The version of the Ford F-150 that debuted for the 2015 model year has been responsible for changing the entire half-ton pickup game, but it hasn’t stopped there. Constant innovation since then has moved the truck further ahead of the pack. For 2018, it will become even more unique, with seven different front end designs, six wheel styles, and an expanded list of equipment and upgraded engines.

An all-new 3.3-liter naturally-aspirated V6 making 290 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque will serve as the F-150’s base engine, and the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 and 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 have been updated to produce 325 hp/400 lb-ft of torque and 395 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque respectively. The only engine left unchanged is the new twin-turbo V6, which offers 375 hp/470 lb-ft of twist, and can tow a best-in-class 12,200 lbs. The 2018 F-150 will also come with more available features. 4G LTE WiFi will be available, alongside Adaptive Cruise Control with stop and go functions, and a premium B&O sound system.

Of course, we mustn’t forget the addition of the turbodiesel V6—but that’s not coming until next spring. In the meantime, if you have your eyes set on a petrol version of this truck, contact our Ford dealership in Nashville, IL as it’s convenient.
